A: Yes, All point costs are 10% higher until you reach a post count greater than 150. So to digivolve to ultimate, you'd need 33 points instead of 30.

Q: Do you allow Hybrids?
A: All digivolutions to a Hybrid level Digimon costs 45 points this is more expensive than going from rookie to champion or champion to ultimate, but cheaper than going from Ultimate to Mega. So if your partner is an ultimate and digivolves to a hybrid the cost will only be 45 as opposed to 60. (Hybrids that are a result of biomerge/spirit combo will be treated as 1 level and a half (+) above their assumed level (this is mega++ before applying level bonus of the biomerge card.). Hybrids evolved using just the spirits are considered 1 level Higher than their assumed level. Hybrids in normal lines using no spirits will be considered + versions of their assumed level.)

Q: What is Warp Digivolution?
A: In the anime warp is the process of a digimon digivolving from rookie to mega in one shot. On this board warp give you the ability to digivolve straight to any level you have choose. Without paying the cost of the levels in between. (Warp still locks your line even if you never went champion or ultimate before)

Q: How do you get into the Digital World?
A: By any means, really. Since the Digital World is just that -- Digital -- it is basically inside the computers, right? Well you can get there by any electronic device hooked up to the network. This means fancy phones with internet capability, game consoles that can get on the internet, and your computer. Anything you really want. It's a random thing, though. One minute you're at home, the next you're in the Digiworld.

Q: Why the random partners?
A: Well there's a few reasons for that, actually. The first is to keep people from requesting an influx of Digimon. If everyone's Digimon is randomized, then the chances of getting something someone else doesn't have increases and we don't have twenty Augumon running around. The second reason is because in the show, they didn't know what they were getting either, so we're trying to replicate that. We compromised by giving you the choice to pick which attribute you want from the Digimon, and the choice of getting a second partner which can be anything you want.

Q: What season of the anime does the forum correspond to?
A: As this is an AU forum it doesn't really follow any of the seasons as aspects and digimon from all seasons are used. However for a general sense we would say between seasons one and three.

Q: Are Crests required to digivolve past the champion level?
A: Yes, Ultimate and above require that the player has obtained their crest. However there are special clauses for dire situations.

Q: When are Crests awarded and how?
A: There is no set time period for crests to be awarded, but our goal is for you to have your crest before 100 posts assuming you have enough IC posts for crest decision to be made by the staff. Crests are awarded based on how you RP your character. there's not much else to say about that.

Q: How are wild Digimon encounters roleplayed?
A: Totally random though you may request that a wild digimon appear in your thread, a mod can just pop into any thread and attack you with a wild digimon at a whim, also threads where you defeat a wild digimon will be worth a few extra points.

Q: What Season are our Digivices limited to if any?
A: You can posses a Digivice from any season. However with the addition of the card system, D-arcs do not start with the ability to use cards. Any digivice can be have the "Arc" upgrade installed to allow use of cards.

Q: What Digimon evolutions are or aren't off-limits?
A:Pretty much whatever your rookie can digivolve to through whatever line you choose is fair game. However any digimon of any level will be considered relatively equal in power to any digimon of the same level. Only Megas that digivolve to higher forms or mode changes will be considered slightly stronger, and an armor digivolved champion will be stronger than a regular champion but not so much that RP doesn't effect the outcome. I explicitly do not allow Lucemon and Susanoomon.

Q:Will there be other ways to earn points in the future?
A: This is a very situational question, as things change and progress, new ways to earn points will be added yes, but some ways may also be removed. Just read your announcements

Q: How does Armor Digvolving work?
A: In order to armor digivolve, your partner must be capable and you must have purchased the pliable digi-egg. This egg will allow your partner to digivolve into ONE of the armor forms available to it. Armor digivolutions are special and do not lock your partner into that form. what this means is that you can have a normal line of evolution, but you can also digivolve to the armored form that you choose. (armor digivolved Digimon are considered ultimate level and do not require a crest)

Q: Regarding armored forms in normal lines?
A: If you have a digimon as part of your normal line that in your line is a normal evolution but is listed as an Armor evolution for other digimon. You can still digivolve into normally as part of your normal line without the digi-egg. However for those who armor digivolve to that form using the egg their partner will be stronger than the one that digivolved normally. Think as the normal digivolution to that form as champion where as the armor digivolved version is ultimate. (this is incentive to purchase the eggs for armor digivolving rather than just normally going into that level)

Q: What are Spirits and how do they work?
A: Spirits, like eggs, are required for certain digimon (usually hybrids) to digivolve into certain other Digimon. see hybrids above

Q: Can our characters start off somewhere else besides File Island when we are accepted?
A: Yes you can start off anywhere you like, but File Island is the safest zone especially if your partner can't digivolve yet to protect you.

Q: If you perm champion your digimon and then perm slide them, does your rookie stay the same or does it change as well?
A: Your rookie stays the same the slide only affects its level and beyond

Q: When can mod Digimon be encountered?
A: Anytime any place any circumstance so be on your guard.

Q:Can points be transferred to different accounts?
A: Yes with the exception of the five points you get for being accepted all points are transferable

Q: What are crests?
A: The symbols of traits which the DigiDestined embody and draw power from as well as their physical manifestations. They give Digimon the power to Digivolve past the Champion level.

Q: Can adults go into the Digital World?
A: Yes though they're mostly teenagers and children.

Q: If you reboot a different Digimon, does it have to be your original preference?
A: no you can choose a new preference for the partner roll

Q: Are the 25 ads a week for 'you' or per character?
A: Per person.

Q: Are X-Antibody Digimon allowed?
A: Yes, they are allowed on this site. HOWEVER, they must be obtained through a Digimon that naturally carries the X-antibody as a rookie. These Digimon are DORUmon, Dracmon, Fanbeemon, and Ryudamon. These are the only Digimon allowed to take X-antibody variations of Digimon. Also, if you're lucky enough to get a Rookie X as a partner. You cannot buy Rookie X as a second partner.

Q: Can partners Dark Digivolve?
A: There has been a lot of confusion concerning this so I will clarify....Yes they can. HOWEVER this is not a player controlled occurrence. Dark Digivolution is only possible in events/modded threads. There is no cost to the player for this evolution and since it is a special evolution it doesn't lock their lines. However it is up to the mod present in the thread to determine whether or not to digivolve your partner using Dark Digivolution, and it is up to the mod to choose the form that your partner would take during that particular instance of Dark Digivolution. I hope this clarifies everything.

Q: How does burst mode work?
A: Burst mode is a temporary state of increased power. When a digimon evolves to burst mode it can only retain that form for 5 posts unless affected by burst extend. Unlike mode change burst mode has no cost.

Q: How does mode change work?
A: Mode change is the process where a digimon changes to an alternate often more powerful form. This is made possible through use of the mode change card. You must pay the cost of going meg again each time you change modes.

Q: Why the change to spirit evolution, burst modes and mode change??
A: Since I've opened this place Ive seen people choose their lines for the simple reason that more evolutions equal more power. People without burst modes or mode changes or hybrid forms were simply unable to compete with those that did so this rectifies the problem and makes how many forms your digimon has less of a deciding factor.

Q: Do you get a separate line for slide digivolving?
A: When you slide, you can go no further down the line than the slide. So, if you slide from one champion to another champion, you can’t go further than champion until you digivolve back to your original Digimon. You only get one line. The only time you get a different line is when you permanent slide to a Digimon, but you can’t ever go back to the original line afterwards.

Power Chart:

1: In-training
2: Rookie
3: Rookie+
4:Champion (level up)
5: Champion+
6: Ultimate (Level up)
7: Ultimate+
8: Mega (Level Up)
9: Mega+, Burst Mode, Mode Change
10: Mega++
11: Mega+++ (don't think this is possible but with enough card boosts maybe)

Rule of thumb. Anything that increases strength that doesn't specify by level will always increase enough to make that digimon a + if it specifies level then the digimon becomes whatever the next level up is except Megas they will always follow the plus system.

Q: What can we transfer when we get rid of a character or they die?

A: You are allowed to keep points and transfer them to another character, not including the 5/10 points you received upon acceptance. However, you cannot transfer items. What you can do is either give them to other members or possibly sell them to other characters for more points. You could also sell them back to the shop for half price. You cannot give them to your own characters. You also will not be able to transfer any perm levels or 2nd partners.

Q: DMA told me X could digivolve to Y, but now it says it can't. Can I keep Y?

A: The short answer is no. The long version is that if you have proof (screenshots, etc) then yes, it can be kept on a situational basis. If you have no proof, then you'll have to change your line.

Q: Hazard core...?

A: The Hazard Core digivice is the second upgrade possible to a digivice. All players start with a standard digivice. Players can purchase the D-arc upgrade in the store, which allows them to use cards. The hazard core is used by purchasing the Unstable Core card. The card is considered automatically used after purchase. This gives certain bonuses to digimon, as explained on the card, and activates certain options for other cards.

Q: What language is everyone speaking? English? Japanese?

A: Neither, technically! Almost every word spoken in the digital world is heard by a human in their native tongue. Someone who speaks English will hear English, someone who speaks Dutch will hear Dutch, and so on. However, there are two things of note: Not everything will be translated! Some words simply prove too tricky to translate, and will be left untranslated. Secondly, characters can have it not effect them, but be sure to make this clear in the thread if you are going this route.

Q: What do I do if I want to get rid of a character?

A: First things first: Don't just delete the account, and don't just let them be deleted in an activity check! If you're wanting to get rid of a character, let a member of the staff know in the cbox, or send a PM to reitgerte. Then, everything will be neatly archived, points will be transferred, and it'll be far easier to restore if you ever want to go back to them.

Q: And what if I want to restore one?

A: This is a similar process. Speak to the staff--we probably have all your notes, profile, tracker, etc on file. Recreate the account with the same username, and then repost your application in the finished products forum. The app will be looked over and then restored.

Q: What counts as an IC post?

A: Any post made in a thread counts. You also get +1 to your count for your application, +1 if you have the legit badge, and +1 if you have the plotter badge. Journals, plot page replies, and messaging threads do not count as IC posts.

Q: What digimon are banned?

A: There are some digimon who are inaccessible (they do not have a proper DMA line), but only two digimon are banned: Lucemon and Susanoomon.

Q: How are topic titles formatted? What are those things in square brackets?

A: Most topics on DH are titled in the following format:

Topic Title [post tag]

The post tag can be either 'open' (if anyone may join), or the name of a specific person or group who the topic is for. 'Closed' can be used for open threads that are no longer taking members. While these aren't hard and fast rules, it's considered relatively rude to drop into a topic that is for a specific person that isn't you without asking. You can also add 'mod', to indicate that you'd like a mod to join at some point. For example:

Fiery Islands [Open/Mod]
